AGARTALA: A widow, along with her three children and elderly mother, has been left without a home after their house was allegedly demolished by BJP leader Amal Das, also known as Bikash Das. Accusing the ruling party’s booth president of orchestrating the act, the family has made an urgent appeal to the Chief Minister and Home Minister of Tripura for justice.

The family claims that Amal Das had been pressuring them to vacate their legally owned property for an extended period. Despite their resistance, their home was allegedly demolished, forcing them to take shelter on the streets. The incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about the impartiality of law enforcement in the region.

According to the family, they approached the West Agartala Police Station seeking to file a complaint, but the police refused to register the case, citing a lack of jurisdiction. This refusal has left the family devastated and has led to allegations of political bias against the police, with the victims accusing the authorities of siding with the accused due to his political connections.

In an emotional plea, the family appealed directly to the state’s Chief Minister and Home Minister, urging them to intervene and ensure justice. Public anger has been growing in South Ramnagar, as many perceive the case as an example of the misuse of power and political influence.

The situation remains tense, with the victimized family waiting for action to be taken against the accused and for their right to justice to be upheld. Local citizens and rights groups have also expressed concern over the apparent lack of accountability and are calling for an impartial investigation into the matter.
