AGARTALA: In a shocking incident, a man physically assaulted his younger brother's wife, who had been fighting with her mother-in-law. According to the Dharma Nagar police station in north Tripura, this incident occurred this morning in Rajnagar village, which is near Ananda Bazar in Tripura.

As per reports, Sandhya Nath, 35, Pran Ballav Nath's wife, got into a fight with her mother-in-law, Rani Bala Nath, 65, at around 10 am today morning while her husband was away from home. The heated arguments between the two quickly turned into slurs.

Bir Ballav, 46, the eldest son of Rani Bala, attempted to calm the two after witnessing this, but Sandhya became furious and did not comply. This prompted Bir Ballav Nath to hit his younger sister-in-law Sandhya with a stick, causing her to collapse on the ground with blood streaming from her body.

Once the neighbours learnt of this, they hurried to the scene, managed to calm down the attacker Bir Ballav, and sent injured Sandhya Nath to the nearby primary health clinic for medical attention.

However, Sandhya, and her husband, who had also hurried to the hospital after learning of the situation, chose not to make the problem public by calling the police, thus there was no complaint to the authorities.
