AGARTALA: The recent attack on the BJP party office in Khumulwng, Dukmali, under the TTAADC is still unresolved, with authorities failing to arrest anyone so far.

Two days ago, unknown miscreants attacked and looted the office, heightening political tensions and unleashing a blame game among major parties in the region.

After the incident, the BJP blamed the Tipra Motha party for the attack, with Tipra Motha placing the blame on the CPI(M).

This war of words has also increased the political rift, further intensifying the unrest in the area. With elections looming, most residents are convinced that these acts of vandalism are politically instigated, used strategically by political parties to influence public opinion.

Locals in the TTAADC headquarters have been frustrated with the growing cycle of political violence. Others believe that BJP and Tipra Motha are intentionally indulging in these clashes to influence voters before the upcoming ADC elections.

There is also increasing suspicion that Tipra Motha's chief, Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, might be orchestrating these incidents to win sympathy and tribal votes. While others believe BJP and Tipra Motha have a hidden pact but make such clashes merely to create political drama.

The CPI(M) has indirectly responded to the incident through its online platforms, referencing Minister Ratan Nath’s remarks, which labeled the attack as a "consequence of reactions."

However, despite the political uproar, both BJP and Tipra Motha have remained officially silent regarding the destruction of the BJP office in Khumulwng.

The prevailing unrest has affected administrative activities in Khumulwng, with apprehensions about law and order in the TTAADC headquarters. As tensions keep escalating, people wait for firm action from the authorities to bring back stability and avoid further politically charged incidents.
