Guwahati: Following the receipt of a letter from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Directorate of Secondary Education instructed all district inspectors of schools to submit the detailed data of teachers who applied and were appointed in posts of graduate and PG teachers by submitting B.Ed certificates (open distance learning mode) from Kurukshetra and Magadh University.
The letter requested data on candidates who applied for the post of teacher by submitting B.Ed certificates (open distance learning mode) from Kurukshetra and Magadh University. It was stated that a complaint has been lodged before the Union Ministry of Education by three persons from Nagaon, Sivasagar, and Dibrugarh, alleging that a racket based in Nagaon District has been found supplying fake admit cards, registration cards, mark sheets, and pass certificates apparently from Kurukshetra and Magadh University.
The Directorate of Secondary Education instructed all inspectors of schools to provide details of those teachers who secured certificates in the open mode from Kurukshetra and Magadh University, especially information regarding their year of acquiring the B.Ed. degree and the year they applied. Also, information was sought on the date they were appointed as teachers.
