GUWAHATI: The State Government shuffled top bureaucrats from the deputy commissioner to the additional chief secretary level today.
The government transferred deputy commissioners (DCs) of Bajali, Bongaigaon, Dhemaji, Sonitpur and Biswanath districts. The newly posted DCs of these five districts are Ashim Kumar Bhattacharjya for Dhemaji, MN Ngatey for Biswanath, Deba Kumar Mishra for Sonitpur, Nabadeep Pathak for Bongaigaon and Cauvery Pathak for Bajali.
The government transferred and posted NHM (National Health Mission) MD Lakshmanan S as the Secretary to the Industries Department and Chief Minister's Secretariat. The government gave the additional charge of MD for Guwahati Smart City Ltd to Kamrup (M) to DC Pallav Gopal Jha and posted Bongaigaon DC MS Lakshmipriya as the MD of NHM.
The government relieved Principal Secretary John Ekka from the Labour and Welfare Department. Ekka has Panchayat and Rural Development and Tea Tribes Welfare departments with him.
The government also relieved Principal Secretary B Kalyan Chakravarty from the Education Department and posted him to the Department of Labour Welfare and Skill.
The order transferred and posted Principal Secretary Archana Verma as Chairman, Board of Revenue.
The order relieved Principal Secretary Rajesh Prasad from Housing and Urban Affairs Department. He has Excise, Irrigation and Soil Conservation Departments with him.
The government relieved Principal Secretary Niraj Verma from IPR (Information and Public Relations) and Parliamentary Affairs Department. He has Home and Power departments with him.
The government relieved Additional Chief Secretary Maninder Singh from the Department of Cultural Affairs. He has the Corporations, Sports and Tourism department with him.
The order relieved Additional Chief Secretary S Abbasi from the IT (Information Technology) Department. He has PHE and Water Resources departments with him.
The government posted Additional Chief Secretary Vijayendra as the Chairman of the Administrative Tribunal and Board of Revenue, Assam.
