Governor BD Mishra presses for early setting up of independent High Court

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra on Tuesday requested Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju to expedite early setting up of an independent high court in the state. The Governor made his request when Rijiju called on him at Raj Bhavan here.

Mishra congratulated the Union Government on successful completion of eight years of good governance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the nation had progressed and developed exponentially in the last eight years and successfully tackled multiple challenges like Covid-19 etc.

The Governor emphasized creating more awareness of various schemes and programmes so that targeted population avails maximum benefit from them. He suggested for extensive conduct of the awareness programme so that it reaches every hamlet, street, vista and village across the country. The Governor also reiterated on setting up of an independent high court in the state, during the meeting, a communiqué informed here.
