Assam Government to Hold Historic Cabinet Meeting in Morigaon District

Morigaon: For the first time the Assam Government decided to hold the cabinet meeting in Morigaon district on January 16. It was disclosed by the minister of Information & Public Relation, Water Resources Piyush Hazarika while addressing media after a meeting with the Morigaon district administration at DC’s conference hall on Saturday. The minister discussed the arrangements for the cabinet meeting with District Commissioner Devashish Sharma, Morigaon MLA Ramakant Deuri and Superintendent of Police Hemant Kumar Das during his visit to Morigaon district today. The cabinet meeting will be  a moment of pride and hope for the people of Morigaon. The minister said, “The cabinet meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma from 10:30 am onwards.

The Cabinet meeting will bring important and positive announcements for Morigaon. The meeting will focus on the overall development of the district. The Cabinet meeting will discuss  about  several important issues including reviewing the progress of the Tata Group semiconductor project under construction at Jagiroad in the district. A tumultuous situation has prevailed in the district following the cabinet meeting to be held on January 16.
