MORIGAON: In response to the central government’s directive to take action against individuals declared as foreign nationals by the Foreigner’s Tribunal, Morigaon police have intensified their operations and arrested nine Bangladeshi nationals across the district.
According to police sources, the arrested individuals had previously been declared Bangladeshi nationals by the Foreigner’s Tribunal court. A series of search operations were carried out in different parts of the Morigaon district to apprehend them.
During the operation, police arrested two individuals under the jurisdiction of Morigaon Police Station, one from Laharighat, two from Mikirbheta, one from Jagiroad, two from Dharamtul, and one from Mayong.
