NTPC organizes interaction programme with civil service officer to inspire girls

NTPC-Bongaigaon GEM welcomed ADC Kabita Deka, whose inspiring words motivated young minds in their journey of empowerment.

KOKRAJHAR: As part of its ongoing commitment to holistic development through the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), NTPC-Bongaigaon, situated at Salakati in Kokrajhar district, hosted Kabita Deka, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, at the GEM venue of NTPC-Bongaigaon. Her presence and encouraging words deeply inspired the young minds enrolled in the programme.

Warmly received by members of the Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club and senior NTPC officials, Deka engaged in an interactive session with the GEM girls. She shared her journey into civil services, offering practical insights and motivational guidance. Her words, rooted in experience, instilled a renewed sense of purpose, ambition, and self-belief among the girls. Deka was also taken on a guided tour of the GEM facility and on the initiatives undertaken under the programme. The well-designed infrastructure and thoughtful curriculum were appreciated by the guests, reflecting NTPC-Bongaigaon’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the girls’ growth and development.

Deka also emphasized the significance of personal safety, education, and self-reliance, leaving the young participants with valuable life lessons and a sense of empowerment. The programme concluded with a commemorative group photograph, capturing the spirit of motivation and shared commitment to girl empowerment. The visit stood as a memorable milestone in the GEM journey at NTPC-Bongaigaon emphasizing the belief that empowered girls are the foundation of a stronger future.

He noted that if India can match China’s production timeline, it would mark a new chapter in Apple’s global supply chain strategy.

This growth is strongly backed by the ‘Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme’ for electronics, which offers financial incentives to manufacturers for scaling up local production. The development is also a big boost to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, which aims to position the country as a global manufacturing hub. (IANS)
