President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their greetings and warm wishes to the countrymen on Dussehra.

The president wrote on Twitter, "Greetings and good wishes to fellow citizens on Dussehra. This festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil. May this festival of joy and happiness protect us from the evil effects of the ongoing pandemic and bring prosperity and affluence to the people of the country."

In a tweet by President Kovind on Saturday, he emphasised on taking firm resolve to respect and empower the womenfolk.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his heartfelt wishes to the nation on the occasion of Vijayadashami. "Good wishes to all the fellow citizens on Vijayadashami. May this festival of marking the victory of good over evil, and of truth over untruth bring new inspiration to everyone's life," he said in a tweet.


Assam minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma extended his greetings on Navratri, and wished everyone a blessed, blissful and happy Navratri.
