Garchuk Police arrested five goat lifters at Boragaon

GUWAHATI: The Garchuk Police with help from the local people of Boragaon, arrested five goat lifters in the area on Tuesday evening. The Police also seized 13 goats from three vehicles (Swifty Dzire — AS01AW3997; Verna - ASO1AK6851); Tata Manza-AS04H9266). The arrested five thieves are Hafiz Ali (58 years of age from Boragaon); Sarfaraz Ahmed (28 years from Tezpur); Tilok Joshi (26 years from Panjabari, Guwahati); Irfan Ahmed (24 years from Tezpur); and Montu Ali (22 years of age from Barpeta.

BIKE RECOVERED: The Garchuk Police recovered a stolen KTM Duke bike (AS01EF4344) from Gakhir Chowk under the Police Station on Tuesday night. The bike was stolen from the chowk on Monday night.
