Mumbai: Rumors about actor Mithun Chakraborty's health deteriorating has been circulating of late. These speculations have been fueled by a picture of the actor sleeping on a hospital bed and it seemed like he was lying unconscious in the hospital. The picture has gone viral on social media.
However, the rumors have not been verified and there is no official confirmation about his health condition as of now.
According to reports, Mithun was recently admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru, after his health started to deteriorate. He was suffering from stomach ache, fever and similar symptoms. Later, he was discharged from the hospital and it is believed that he is currently fit and fine.
Several BJP leaders including National Secretary Dr Anupam Hazra, shared a photo of Mithun from a hospital and wrote," Get well soon Mithun Da ( I wish you a speedy recovery Mithun Da)."
Meanwhile, Mithun has acted in hundreds of films throughout the course of his decades long career and he recently featured in an important role in 'The Kashmir Files'.
Chakravarty's acting career took off in 1976, when he made his acting debut with filmmaker Mrinal Sen's National Award winning drama "Mrigayaa".
It was the1979 spy thriller "Surakshaa" that laid the grounds for his stardom in the 80s with blockbusters like "Disco Dancer", "Dance Dance", "Pyar Jhukta Nahin", "Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki" and "Commando" among others.
He is married to Indian actress Yogita Bali and has four children, three sons and one daughter. The eldest son, Mimoh Chakravarty is a Bollywood actor and made his debut in the 2008 film Jimmy.
