Birangana Sadhani Kalakshetra inaugurated in Golaghat

Golaghat, Feb 9: Speaking at a function to inaugurate a cultural complex named after Sati Sadhani (Birangana Sadhani Kalakshetra) at Selengi in Golaghat on Friday, Chief Minister Sonowal said that State Government has been taking several steps to generate awareness about Sati Sadhani among younger generations and immortalise the Sati Sadhani and make her a source of inspiration to all. 
Sonowal also said that buoyed by the ideals of Sati Sadhani, the present generation must be in a position to work for an empowered Assam. He said, “If we are in a position to let the world know about the sacrifice, strength and love for mother land of Sati Sadhani we will be in a position to project Assam as the strongest player in the world.”
Sonowal also said the State government has taken keen interests for making Birangana Sadhani Kalakshetra an important tourist attraction. He also expressed his gratitude to different organisations belonging to Chutia community, MLA and former minister Ajanta Neog, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, Chairman of Sodou Chutia Jati Sammelan  Amiya Kumar Bora for their proactive steps in making the cultural complex a reality. He also said that his government will take pragmatic steps to dispose all problems related to Golaghat district. 
Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, Minister of State for Cultural Affairs Naba Kumar Doley, former minister Ajanta Neog also spoke on the occasion. Water Resources Minister Keshab Mahanta, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Deputy Commissioner Gaurab Bothra and a host of dignitaries representing the Chutia community were present on the occasion.
